DHAKA, Nov 5, 2022 (BSS)- World Cup football frenzy has started around the world and there is no exception in Bangladesh in this case.

'Mahapagal', an exceptional supporters’ forum of traditional Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, is going to be a part of frenzy on occasion of Qatar World Cup  as they will organize 'Mahapagal World Cup Saga' through social media Facebook.

Basically, two competitions will be held in the event with one is a daily quiz and the other is a fantasy league.

On the occasion of the competition, T Islam Tariq, the founder-leader of ‘Mahapagal, disclosed the various information of the organization at a press conference held today (Saturday) at the city’s local restaurant.

Mohammedan‘s former footballer Riaz Uddin, BCCB’s national pool’s cricket umpire Mesbah Udin Ahmed Reza, Nazmul Amin Kiron,  owner of photo archive company 'Kirandesk' and Easy Technologies Limited’s graphic designer Ahmed Swapan were present in the press conference.

Various prizes will be given to the fifteen winners of the quiz competition which will be organized for Word Cup Football. The prizes include are LED TV, deep refrigerator, Microwave Woven, Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar-Dhaka return air tickets, smart phone, blender machine, dinner set, electric iron,  T-ser (exclusive), glass set (exclusive), rice cooker, pressure cooker, fry pen, water purifier, oven proof dish, (three pices).

Prizes will be sorted based on the value and gift boxes worth Taka 1000/1500 will be given to a winner each day as well.

The rules to participate in this competition are one must join the 2022 group through own Facebook ID. The same person cannot join the group with multiple IDs. Facebook ID should be in own name. One person will be given a gift box by lottery each day with the maximum winners’ of each day's game, but each match winner will get five points each which will be added to the next match.

Each of the winner will get five points for each match in the first round, ten points for the quarter-finals, fifteen points for the semi-finals, five points for place-deciding matches and twenty points for the final.

Apart from the gift box for the daily winners, there will be mega prizes for the top fifteen winners’. If the points are equal, the selection process will go through by lottery.

No one can participate in the quiz without joining the group and interested person can join the group till November 10.

Any changes to the rules will be informed before the game. Everyone who will join this group to participate in the quiz, will be given a special code number on the night of November 11. After getting the code, everyone will have to give their mobile number mentioning the code.

The prize distribution ceremony will be held at Hotel Purvani in next year.
