DHAKA, Sept 12, 2022 (BSS)- Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) Red team beat BHF Blue team by 2-0 goals in the inaugural match of Development Cup Hockey that began today (Monday) at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in the city.

In the day's match, Nadira put BHF Red ahead converting a penalty corner in the 54th minute while Kona Akter sealed the victory with a field goal in the 56th minute of the match.

Earlier, BHF president and Chief of Air Staff Shaikh Abdul Hannan BBP, BUP, NSWC FAWC, PSC formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.

BHF vice presidents and development committee's chairman Abdur Rashid Sikder, Sajed AA Adel, Jaki Ahmed Ripon, BHF acting general secretary Mohammad Yousuf and BHF's treasurer Hazi Mohammad Humayun, were, among others, present in the opening ceremony.

Four women's teams -- BHF red, BHF green, BHF blue and BHF yellow -- are taking part in the competition, organized by BHF.
