Bangabandhu established dignity for Bangalees: Anisul

DHAKA, August 7, 2022 (BSS) - Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister
Anisul Huq today said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
had deep affection for Bangalee nation and he established dignity for them.

"If Bangalees recall his legacy with due respect, pay homage to him, then
they will progress and the nation will reach a good stage," he said.

The minister said this while addressing a preparatory meeting on the National
Mourning Day-2022, at the secretariat.

Anisul advised the concerned officials to do something new this time to
observe the National Mourning Day, adding: "The young generation should be
informed clearly that the trial over Bangabandhu murder was obstructed for
long 21 years and indemnity ordinance was enacted to protect the killers."

The law minister proposed discussing the works of Bangabandhu and what is the
relevance of those works in today's reality, at the National Mourning Day
function. The law ministry would distribute foods at orphanages on August 16
and organise a doa and discussion programme on August 21.

Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division Secretary Md Moinul Kabir, Law
and Justice Division Secretary Md Golam Sarwar, Inspector General of
Directorate of Registration Shahidul Alam Jhinuk and Additional Secretary
Hafiz Ahmed Chowdhury were present, among others, on the occasion.
