DHAKA, Dec 12, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya Bir Bikram today said none will be allowed to carry out terrorist activities in the month of victory.

"The month of victory is the month of Liberation War and this month for Awami League, pro-liberation people's month. We cannot allow them (BNP) to carry out conspiracies and terrorist activities in this month," Maya said.

Maya Chowdhury said this while speaking as the chief guest at the meeting titled 'Protest against anti-national conspiracy and anarchy of BNP and Jamaat-Shibir' at Zahur Hossain Chowdhury Hall of Jatiya Press Club (JPC) here.

The meeting was organized by the Shommilito Awami Shamarthok Jote.

Maya said BNP told that they would hold a rally on December 10 in Naya Palton they won't move an inch from this decision. But at last it held the rally at cattle market field of Golapbagh, he added.
 
He said those who are trying to destabilize a stable government (BNP) have again become active. On December 10, they said they would overthrow the country but it failed to do so because common people were on the streets to resist them.

 "There will be no election under caretaker government in this country. The election will be under Sheikh Hasina," said Advocate Md. Kamrul Islam, presidium member of Awami League.

Former general secretary of Dhaka South City unit Awami League Shahe Alam Murad, City Awami League leader Sahidul Islam Milon spoke at the meeting while Niaz Muhammad Khan, convenor of Shommilito Awami Shamarthok Jote presided over it.
