Stern action to be taken if BNP creates anarchy: Amu 

DHAKA, Dec 8, 2022 (BSS) - The central 14-party alliance has decided to hold meeting with different professional organizations to build public opinion against the destructive activities of BNP-Jamaat. 
 
In a meeting today, the alliance also decided that the 14-party alliance and Awami League will unitedly face BNP-Jamaat in the next general elections. 

Briefing journalists after the meeting, Awami League (AL) Advisory Council Member and central 14-party alliance spokesperson Amir Hossain Amu said stern action will be taken if BNP creates anarchy in the name of holding rally on December 10.

"The 14-party alliance will build resistance united against BNP-Jamaat if they try to create unstable situation centering its rally on December 10," he told journalists after a meeting of the alliance at his residence in city's New Eskaton. 

Mentioning the clashes of BNP activists with police in Nayapaltan area, Amu said the 14-partry alliance would not tolerate any sabotage or anarchy on the streets. The main target of BNP is to foil the victory day programmes and create a constitutional and political vacuum in the country, he added. 

Chaired by Amir Hossain Amu, the meeting was attended, among others, by Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon, MP, Jatiya Samajtantric Dal (JASAD) President Hasanul Huq Inu, MP, Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman Anwar Hossain Manju ,MP, Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, AL's Liberation War Affairs Secretary Mrinal Kanti Das, MP, AL Central Working Committee Member Dr. Mustafa Jalal Mohiuddin, Chairman of Bangladesh Tarikat Federation Syed Najibul Bashar Maizbhandari, MP, General Secretary of Jatiya Party JP Sheikh Shahidul Islam, Workers Party General Secretary Fazle Hossain Badsha, MP, Ganatantri Party General Secretary Dr. Shahadat Hossain, Gono Azadi League President Advocate SK Sikder and NAP acting General Secretary Ismail Hossain, among others, were present.
