JOYPURHAT, Nov 11, 2022 (BSS) - A student of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet) was crushed under the wheels of a 
train after falling off the moving train at Joypurhat railway station this morning. 

The deceased was identified as Rahul, 24, son of Shahriar Rais, a resident of Kalipara village under Shibganj upazila in Bogura district. Rahul was a third-year student of Leather Engineering Department of the Kuet.

Railway police sources said the student was coming to Joypurhat from Khulna by the intercity train 'Simanta Express'. 

He was crushed under the wheels of the train after falling off the train as he tried to get down hurriedly from the train before it properly stopped at the station. He died on the spot.
