Over 11.64-lakh children get Covid-19 jabs in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Nov 8, 2022 (BSS) – More than 11.64- lakh children aged 5-11 years of 3,427 primary level educational institutions have been vaccinated with the first doses of Covid-19 jabs in all eight districts of Rangpur division.
 
Health officials said the number of administered first doses of Covid-19 jabs to primary school level children rose to 11,64,222 with inoculation of 1,021 more jabs on Monday in the division where the vaccination campaign continues smoothly.
 
Meanwhile, the total number of administered Covid-19 jabs rose to three crore 40 lakh 21 thousand and 218 in Rangpur division with the inoculation of more 4,711 doses as the first, second and booster doses on Monday.  
 
“Till Monday, a total of 1,48,23,402 people got the first doses of Covid-19 jabs, and of them, 1,32,59,636 got the second doses and 59,38,180 as the booster doses in the division,” said Acting Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman.
 
Meanwhile, the total number of Covid-19 patients remained steady at 64,947 as no fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed after testing 34 new samples on Monday in the division.
       
The number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,621 as no more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today in the division.
 
“Besides, the number of casualties also remained steady at 1,293 as no new death was reported during the last 24 hours,” Dr. Rahman added.
