Dry weather likely over the country

DHAKA, Oct 20, 2022 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
today predicted that weather may remain dry across the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am today.

"Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the
country," said a BMD release here this morning.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said it.

A low pressure area has formed over Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay. It is likely to intensify. Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from Northern part of Bangladesh. Conditions are favourable for further withdrawal of South-west monsoon from remaining part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is weak over North Bay

Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 34.6 degrees celsius at sayedpur and minimum temperature today was 18.5 degrees celsius at Tetulia.

Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 15 millimters (mm) at satkhira.

The sun sets at 05:29pm today and rises at 05:58am tomorrow in the
capital.
