DHAKA, Oct 9, 2022 (BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thunder showers 
accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur 
at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Chattogram and Barishal 
divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions 
with moderately heavy falls at isolated places over northern part of the 
country.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said 
a met office forecast for the next twenty-four hours started from 9am this 
morning.

The axis of monsoon trough runs through Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across 
northern part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak 
to moderate over North Bay.

Country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded by 35.7 degree celsius 
jointly at Rajshahi and Chuadanga and minimum temperature today recorded by 
23.3 degree celsius at Sylhet.

Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 
by 51millimeters (mm) at Srimangal.
