DHAKA, Sept 12, 2022 (BSS) - State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Zahid Ahsan Russel today inaugurated a newly constructed fitness centre on the second floor of Jatiya Press Club (JPC) here.

JPC President Farida Yasmin chaired the programme while Saif Power Group Managing Director Tarafder Md Ruhul Amin spoke as the special guest.

Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Managing Director and Chief Editor Abul Kalam Azad, JPC former President Saiful Alam, Bangladesh Nari Sangbadik Kendra President Nasimun Ara Haque Minu, senior journalists Md Shafiqul Karim Sabu, Md Hasan Ullah Khan Rana and Mozammel Haque Chancal, DBC TV Head of News Pranab Saha, JPC General Secretary Ilias Khan, Senior Vice-President Hasan Hafiz, Joint Secretary Md Ashraf Ali, Treasurer Shahed Chowdhury, Managing Committee Members Kazi Rawnaq Hossain and Bhanu Ranjan Chakrabarty were present, among others.

Managing Committee member and sports affairs sub-committee convener Shahnaj Siddiqui Soma moderated it.

Speaking on the occasion, Russel said the fitness centre will facilitate working journalists to do physical exercise during their break of working hours.
