RANGPUR, Sept 12, 2022 (BSS) - A seminar on ' Literature of Jibanananda
Das' organized by the Department of Bengali of Begum Rokeya University,
Rangpur (BRUR) was held at Heyat Mamud Bhaban on the campus here today.  

    Head of Department of Bengali and Dean of Faculty of Arts of BRUR
Professor Dr. Abu Saleh Mohammad Wadudur Rahman (Tuhin Wadud) presided over
the seminar.

    Vice-chancellor of the university Professor Dr. Md. Hasibur Rashid
attended the seminar as the chief guest while Pro Vice-chancellor of the
university Professor Dr. Sarifa Salwa Dina was present as a special guest.

    Associate Professor of Parimal Mitra Smriti College at Jalpaiguri in West
Bengal of India Pankaj Kumar Sarkar was present as a speaker on the occasion.  

    He discussed on the topic "Jibanananda Das: Controversy and Surprise" in
the seminar.  

    Associate Professor of the Department of Bengali of Jagannath University
Dr. Rahel Rajiv discussed on the topic "Jibanananda Das in Theory-Light".  

    Among others, Professor of the Department of Bengali of BRUR Rishin
Parimal, Associate Professor Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and Lecturer Sirajam Munira
took part in the discussion.  

    Associate Professor of the Department of Bengali Dr. Nitya Ghosh
moderated the event.
