DHAKA, Sept 5, 2022 (BSS) - A Dhaka court today sent Selim Sattar, director
of Samah Razor Blades Industrial Company Limited, to jail in a case lodged
under the Narcotics Control Act.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ahmed Humayun Kabir passed the order as police
produced Selim before the court and Investigation Officer and Inspector of
the Directorate of Narcotics Control (DNC) Nazmul Hossain Khan pleaded to
keep him behind the bars till the end of probe in this case.

Defence Counsel Advocate Saleh Uddin pleaded for Selim's bail on health
ground.

After hearing both the sides, the court sent the accused to jail. The court,
however, ordered the prison authorities to provide him treatment as per jail
rule.

DNC, on Sunday, raided Selim's posh flat in Banani and seized a large
quantity of foreign liquor, cocaine, cannabis chocolates, MDMA, LSD and
synthetic ganja from there.
