DHAKA, Aug30, 2022 (BSS) – The Jatiya Sangsad today reconstituted six parliamentary standing committees on different ministries.

The reconstituted committees are Business Advisory Committee, Library Committee, Committee on Petitions, Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure, Standing Committee of Privileges and parliamentary standing committee on Home Affairs.

The reconstitution of first four parliamentary committees were nominated by the Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin SharminChaudhury as per the rules of procedure and the rest two committees were proposed by Chief Whip Noor-E-AlamChowdhury.

Of these committees, the newly elected Deputy Speaker has been included as member of first four committee and the Deputy Speaker has also been nominated as the Chairman of the Library Committee.
 
On the other hand, treasury bench member Benjir Ahmed has been included as the Chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Home Affairs.
