DHAKA, Aug 30, 2022 (BSS) - The High Court today sought a detailed report on how the seized goods across the country have been preserved or stored in the police stations and court premises.

A High Court Division Bench comprising Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Kazi Md Ejarul Haque Akondo passed the order today.

Law Secretary, Home Secretary, Inspector General of Police and other concerned have been asked to respond to the rule within four weeks.

The court also directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to submit a full report on the matter within the next 6 months.

At the same time, a rule has been issued seeking to know why improper storage of seized goods should not be declared illegal.
