DHAKA, Aug 28, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) presidium member Jahangir Kabir
Nanak urged BNP to verify their popularity by participating in the next
general elections.
"It will be proved in the next general elections whether people will give the
mandate for the development of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina or arson
terrorism," he said while speaking at a discussion as the chief guest.
Dhaka City North Unit of Chhatra League organized the meeting marking the
National Mourning Day at Krishibid Institution, Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium
here.
Nanak said there is no difference between BNP and Jamaat as their leaders and
activists are hatching the conspiracy to thwart the pro-liberation force
Awami League from power.
AL presidium member Abdur Rahman said BNP will not be able to come to state
power by creating anarchy in the country. Stern action will be taken against
those who will try to destroy stability in the country, he added.
AL joint general secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim said leaders-activists of AL
will collectively resist all evil forces for the sake of the country's
development.
Dhaka north city Chhatra League president Ibrahim Hossain presided over the
discussion while general secretary Saidur Rahman Hridoy conducted it.
Dhaka north city unit AL President Sheikh Bazlur Rahman, general secretary
S.M. Mannan Kochi, and Bangladesh Chhatra League central President Al Nahian
Khan Joy and general secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee, among others, spoke at
the meeting.
