DHAKA, Aug 27, 2022 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over the country.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at isolated places over the country," said a met office release here today. 

However, the day temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
 
Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 36.2 degrees Celsius jointly at Tarash and Tetulia while the minimum temperature today was 23.5 degrees Celsius at Rangamati.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 18 mm at Sylhet.

The sun sets at 6.22 pm today and rises at 5.39 am tomorrow in the capital.
