DHAKA, Aug 26, 2022 (BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Barishal divisions.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said a weather forecast which valid for next twenty-four hours begins from 9am today.

The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to Northwest Bay. Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak elsewhere over North Bay.

Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded by 35.5 degree Celsius at Rangamati and minimum temperature today was recorded by 25.5 degree Celsius jointly at Madaripur, Tetulia, Rangamati, Feni, Kutubdia and Chuadanga.

Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded by 01 millmeters (mm) jointly at Sandwip,Rangamati and Kutubdia.
