Light to moderate rain likely

 
DHAKA, Aug 11, 2022 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over the country.

"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions; at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over southern part of Bangladesh," said a met office release here today.

Day and night temperature may fall slightly over southern part of the country and rise slightly elsewhere over the country, it added.

Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 33.7 degrees Celsius at Sylhet and minimum temperature today was 23.4 degrees Celsius at Kutubdia.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 89 mm in Khepupara.

The sun sets at 6.35 pm today and rises at 5.32 am tomorrow in the capital.
