DHAKA, August 1, 2022 (BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin today.

  "Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at many places over Dhaka division and at a few places over Khulna, Barisal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country" the bulletin said.

  The day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.

  Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 36.2 degrees Celsius at Mongla and minimum temperature today was 23.5 degrees Celsius at Netrokona.

  The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 96 mm in Tetulia.

  The sun sets at 6.42 pm today and rises at 5.28 am tomorrow in the capital.
