DHAKA, June 25, 2022 (BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur in some parts of the country, said a met release issued for 24-hour starting at 9 am today.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at isolated places over the country, it said.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The monsoon axis runs through Bihar, West Bengal and thence northeastwards to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.

Country's highest temperature on Friday was recorded 36.0 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and minimum temperature today was 24.0 degrees Celsius at Teknaf.

Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 54millimeters (mm) at Tetulia.

Today's sunset at 06-50 PM and tomorrow's sunrise at 05-12 AM at Dhaka.
