DHAKA, June 17, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Chattogram South District AL vice-president Advocate AKM Sirajul Islam Chowdhury.

In a condolence message, she prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Sirajul Islam Chowdhury, also former President of Chattogram Lawyers Association, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chattogram last night. He was 75.

Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader also expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death Sirajul Islam Chowdhury.

In a condolence message, Quader prayed for eternal peach of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members, said an AL Press release.
