DHAKA, May 30, 2022 (BSS) - Rain or thundershower with temporary gusty or
squally wind is likely to occur at many places over the country, said a
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours
commencing 9am today.
"Rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to
occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, at many
places over Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur,
Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at
places over the country," it added.
The bulletin also predicted that the rain or thundershowers activity is
likely to continue during the next 72 hours.
However, the day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may
remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 36.0 degree Celsius at
Ishwardi and today's minimum temperature 22.5 degree Celsius was recorded at
Khulna.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 89 mm
at Chandpur.
The sun sets at 6.41 pm today and rises at 5.11 am tomorrow in the capital.
