Post-Eid recreational atmosphere persists in Rangpur division

RANGPUR, May 5, 2022 (BSS) - A post-Eid recreational atmosphere still persists on the third day since the holy Eid-ul-Fitr day in the division where hundreds of people are rushing to the entertainment, amusement and tourist spots for pleasure. 
 
After a two-year gap due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the recreational and tourist spots are witnessing a massive rush of people to enjoy the happiness of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr festivity without any restrictions.
 
The passionate people of all ages, particularly youths, adolescents and young girls, wearing colorful dresses are visiting the recreational places making those overcrowded and festive till today.
 
In Rangpur city, people are thronging Rangpur Amusement Park and Zoo, 'Proyas' Entertainment Park, Fantasy Zone, 'Tajhat Zamindar Bari', Chikley Lake Water Park, ‘Rupkotha Theme Park’, ‘Surovi Uddyan’, Town Hall premises, Zila School ground, ‘Baishakhi Bottola’ and other recreational spots to get refreshed and entertained. 
 
They are rushing to the recreational spots like 'Vinnojogot', ‘Ananda Nagar’, Teesta Road Bridge, Sheikh Hasina Teesta Bridge, ‘Neelamborer Jalmahal’, ‘Ananda Nagar’ in Pirganj, ‘Maya Bhuban’ and ‘Bharadaho Beel’ in Badarganj, ‘Ali Baba Theme Park’ in Pirgachha, Teesta Barrage Canal and other areas outside Rangpur city. 
 
Hundreds of people are rushing the ‘Teesta Park’ on the Teesta riverbank in Kawnia upazila and ‘Bridge Bites’ restaurant on the Teesta riverbank at the northern Kakina end of the Sheikh Hasina Teesta Bridge of Gangachara upazila in Rangpur.
 
Similarly, innumerable people are thronging ‘Shopnopuri Artificial Amusement Park’, ‘Kantzeu Mandir’, ‘Ramsagar’, Dinajpur Rajbari’ and ‘Gore Shahid Eidgah Maidan’ in Dinajpur, ‘Neelsagar’ and Teesta Barrage Project in Nilphamari, ‘Bhitargarh Maharaja Dighee’, ‘Tentulia Dak Banglo’, Mahananda riverbank, ‘Kazi and Kazi Tea Estate and Banglabandha Land Port in Panchagarh, Sheikh Hasina Dharla Bridge and Dharla Bridge in Kurigram, Tin-Bigha Corridor, Burimari Zero Point and Sheikh Rasel Shishu Park in Lalmonirhat and other places of tourists’ attraction in Rangpur division.
 
After two years of the Covid-19 restrictions, all recreational places have been decorated with a new look and amusement flavor to attract more visitors amid admirable security measures. 
 
Many boys, girls, students, youths and children with their parents wearing colorful dresses are gathering at these places where temporary fairs, different amusement rides for children and shops have been set up to sell different handcrafts, foods and toys. 
 
Hundreds of people are visiting the Chikley Lake Water Park in Rangpur city to get pleasure from the magnificence of nature and share the pleasure of Eid-ul-Fitr festivity.
 
School students Armina, Abir Hossain, Monalisa, Rahim, Julekha and Harun at different recreational spots here said they were excited to enjoy the beauty at those entertaining places after two years since the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.
 
University and college students Kamruzzaman, Fahmida, Rashed, Mohan, Protik and Rahela while visiting the Chikley Lake Water Park in Rangpur city said they enjoyed playing on rides and travelling by speed boat on the water park there. 
 
Talking to BSS on the Sheikh Hasina Teesta Bridge at Mohipur Ghat on the juncture of Rangpur and Lalmonirhat districts, Aminur Rahman said he came there with family members to see the bridge, river and enjoy the beauty of nature.
 
Housewives Bela Begum, Arjina Khatun, Novella Rahman, Marjina Begum and Hasna Hena while visiting the Teesta Road Bridge at Kawnia upazila in Rangpur with their husbands and children said they enjoyed loveliness and natural beauty there.
 
Couple Anisuzzaman Chowdhury and Mahbuba Chowdhury at Rangpur Zoo said they enjoyed riding on ‘Nagordola’ with their children as well as friends and observing various animals and birds there.
 
Similarly, school teacher Rubi Begum, businessman Mozahar Ali and poultry farm owner Abdur Rahman at 'Proyas' Entertainment Park in Rangpur city said they were excited with their family members to enjoy the natural beauty and recreational facilities there.
 
Deputy Curator of Rangpur Amusement Park and Zoo Dr. Md. Amber Ali Talukder said hundreds of people are visiting the entertainment center freely to breathe a sigh of relief after two years without any restrictions related to the Covid-19 situation.
 
Chairman of 'Northbengal Institute of Development Studies' Dr. Syed Samsuzzaman said people are visiting entertaining spots following improvement in their socioeconomic conditions for leisure and happiness as the Covid-19 situation has improved.
