DHAKA, April 24, 2022 (BSS) - The 183rd meeting of the Board of Governors of the Bangladesh Open University (BOU) was held today on the university campus in Gazipur. 

BOU Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Syed Humayun Akhter presided over the meeting, said a BOU press release here.

Board members Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Education Ministry Md. Abu Bakr Siddique, Secretary of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry Md. Mokbul Hossain, Jagannat University (JnU) VC Professor Dr. Md. Imdadul Hoque, President of the Board of Trustees of Fareast International University (FIU) and Bangladesh Private University Samity (BPUS) Sheikh Kabir Hossain, Professor of Dhaka University's Institute of Statistical Research and Training Dr M Sekander Hayat Khan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Sonali Bank Md Ataur Rahman Pradhan, BOU Pro-VC (academic) Professor Dr Mahbuba Nasreen and BOU Treasurer Professor Mostafa Azad Kamal joined the meeting. 

Dean of School of Education Professor Sufia Begum, Dean of Open School Professor Dr Sabina Yeasmin, Dean of School of Science and Technology Professor Dr Sarker Md Noman, Professor of School of Education Professor Md Anwarul Islam and Secretary of the BOU Board of Governors and Registrar Dr Mhd Shafiqul Alam were present at the meeting.
