54 students get Indian education stipends in Rangpur

RANGPUR, April 21, 2022 (BSS) - Fifty-four meritorious students of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Public School and College today received education stipends from the government of India.

 
With assistance from the Indian High Commission at Dhaka, Assistant High Commissioner of India stationed at Rajshahi Sanjeev Kumar Bhati distributed the stipends at a function held at the institution as the chief guest.
 
President of RCCI Public School and College and President of Rangpur Chamber Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu presided over the function.
 
Addressing the function, Sanjeev Kumar Bhati said education is the backbone of the nation and the role of education in building a developed and strong state is immense.
 
"The Government of India is providing education stipends to meritorious students of Bangladesh and heirs of heroic freedom fighters at higher secondary and degree levels in various fields every year," he said.
 
"The education stipend program would continue in the future in order to further strengthen the existing friendly relationship between Bangladesh and India and improve the quality of education," he said.
 
He called upon the students of RCCI Public School and College to be educated in modern education to work for the welfare of the country and the world as a whole.
 
He also lauded the educational activities of the RCCI Public School and College, established and run by the business community of Rangpur.
 
Principal of RCCI Public School and College Professor Abdul Jalil, Directors of RCCI Md. Motahar Hossain Mandal Mowla, Md. Amjad Hossain Chowdhury, Partho Bose, Rabi Somani, students and teachers of the institution were present.
