DHAKA, April 20, 2022 (BSS) - Rain or thundershowers with intense lightning flashes accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places across the country, a met release said today.

Rain or thundershowers with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur in Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, at a few places in Rajshahi division and one or two places in Khulna and Barishal divisions, it said

Hails may take place at isolated places over the country, the release also said.

Mild heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Jashore and Rangamati and it may abate.

Day temperature may fall by one to three degree Celsius and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and minimum temperature today was 18.6 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.

The sun sets at 6.22 pm today and rises at 5.32 am tomorrow in the capital.
