DHAKA, March 29, 2022 (BSS) - Mamun Tushar of the Alokito Bangladesh and 
Sirajul Islam Rubel of the Daily Star were elected as the new president and 
general secretary of Dhaka University Journalists' Association (DUJA) for the 
next one year.

The election was held today at its office at Teacher-Student Centre of Dhaka 
University.
 
Borhanul Haque Somrat, chief election commissioner of the election and chief 
news editor of Desh TV has announced the new committee this afternoon. 

The other official bearers are - vice-president Al Sadi Bhuiyan of jago news, 
Joint Secretary Asif Howlader of Prothom Alo, Office Secretary Nasimul Huda 
of Bangladesh Pratidin, Treasurer Mahdi Hassan of Daily Jugantar, and 
Executive Members: Obaidur Rahman Sohan of New age , Mohiuddin Muzahid Mahi 
of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha and Monirul Islam of News bangla24.com.
