NAOGAON, March 7, 2022 (BSS) - The historic March 7 was observed here in a

befitting manner today paying rich tribute to Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with a fresh vow to build a developed Sonar
Bangla.

The district administration, police administration and other government
departments, Awami League (AL) and its associate bodies marked the day with
elaborate programmes.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Khalid Mehedi Hasan and Acting Superintendent of
Police Gaziur Rahman first placed a wreath at Bangabandhu's mural at Muktir
Moor in the city.

Later, Muktijoddha Sangsad, Municipality, Police Bureau of Investigation
(PBI), Zila Parishad, Upazila Parishad, various government, semi-government,
autonomous organizations, socio-cultural organizations, and educational
institutions placed wreaths at Bangabandhu's mural.

Patriotic songs were rendered and the epoch-making historic 7th March speech
delivered by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was played across the city
throughout the day.

A discussion was held this morning at Naogaon Sadar Upazila Parishad
auditorium on the initiative of the Deputy Commissioner.

Later, prizes were distributed among the winners of the historic March 7
speech competition.
