Dry weather likely

DHAKA, March 5, 2022 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today
predicted dry weather with partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24
hours as of 9am tomorrow.

"Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky over the country," a
BMD release said in its 24-hour weather forecast commencing at 9am today.

Besides, a depression over Southwest Bay and adjoining area moved north-
northwestwards, intensified in a deep depression and lay centered over the
same area (near Lat: 11.0oN and lon: 82.5oE) at 6am today.

It is likely to intensify further and move in a northwesterly direction.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it
added.

Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 35.0 degrees Celsius at
Teknaf in Chattogram and today's minimum temperature was 12.7 degrees Celsius
at Srimangal in Sylhet.

The sun sets at 6.03pm today and rises at 6.17am tomorrow in the capital.
