Dry weather likely

DHAKA, March 4, 2022, (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
today predicted dry weather with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country
in the next 24 hours as of 9am tomorrow.   

  "Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country,"
a met Office release said in a 24-hour weather forecast commencing at 9am
today.  

  Besides, a depression over Southwest Bay and adjoining area moved north-
northwestwards and lay centered over the same area (near Lat: 8.5oN and lon:
83.0oE) at 6am today.   

  It is likely to intensify further and move in a northwesterly direction,
the release said, adding that trough of westerly low lies over Sub-Himalayan
West Bengal and adjoining area.  

  Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise
slightly over the country, it added.  

  Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 34.5 degrees Celsius
at Teknaf in Chattogram and today's minimum temperature was recorded 11.6
degrees Celsius at Srimangal in Sylhet.   

  The sun sets at 6.03pm today and rises at 6.17am tomorrow in the capital.
