NETRAKONA, Feb 19, 2022 (BSS) – State Minister for Social Welfare Md Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru today said the government has been working relentlessly for steering the nation towards progress and prosperity through upholding the spirit of the Liberation War.

“The government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been making it’s untiring efforts for building up the country as a ‘developed country’ side by side with upholding the spirit of the Liberation War,” he said.

Khasru was addressing at a function after unveiling the plaque of the newly reconstructed upazila central Shaheed Minar at the Shaheed Minar premises of Barhatta upazila town here.

Chairman of Barhatta upazila parishad Mainul Haque Kashem, Upazila Nirbahi Officer SM Mazharul Islam, leaders of Netrakona district and upazila units of Awami League Iftekhar Uddin Khan Masud, Azizur Rahman and Abdul Wahed, were present, among others.

Earlier, the state minister Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru formally laid the foundation stone of four-storied Barhatta club at Gopalpur Bazar of the upazila town.
