DHAKA, Feb 17, 2022 (BSS) - The 2nd Bio-pesticide Regulatory Workshop - Bangladesh under the USDA-MRL Project of the Improving Phytosanitary Trade Compliance in Bangladesh was held virtually on Tuesday last.
 
  During the time, Dr Luis Suguiyama, Regulatory Expert, AG Aligned Global said the government is emphasizing on Bio-pesticides Regulation is not only for safer pest control tools but also for economic development of Bangladesh, according to a press release, received here today.
 
  He emphasized on promoting registration of safer pest control tools of Bio-pesticides and adoption of safer tools for pest control in the country.
 
  High officials of Plant Protection Wing (PPW), Asia-Pacific Association of Agricultural Research Institutions (APAARI), Thailand, Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE), scientists and experts from Agriculture Universities, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) and Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) also shared their opinions in the webinar.
