Nanak raises question over BNP's democratic ethics

DHAKA, Feb 16, 2022 (BSS) - Raising question over BNP's ill

activities, Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Advocate Jahangir Kabir
Nanak today said those who were born from the womb of the military
junta now teach democracy to the people.

   "BNP had tarnished the holy parliament by stealing votes on
February 15, 1996 and giving places the self-confessed murderers of
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family
members (in the parliament). They again tell the people of our country
about democracy," he said.

   He made the remarks at a view exchanging meeting with Narayanganj
City Corporation (NCC) mayor Selina Hayat Ivy and central leaders were
in charge in NCC elections at Awami League (AL) president Sheikh
Hasina's political office in city's Dhanmondi area.

   Organising Secretary of AL for Dhaka division Mirza Azam conducted
the programme while Awami League (AL) joint general secretary AFM
Bahauddin Nasim also spoke.

  AL Organizing Secretaries Ahmed Hossain, BM Mozammel Haque and Afzal
Hossain, Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, Science and
Technology Affairs Secretary Engineer Md Abdus Sabur and Deputy
Publicity Secretary Aminul Islam Amin were also present, among others,
on the occasion.
