DHAKA, Feb 15, 2022 (BSS) - The Parliamentary Standing Committee on

Water Resources Ministry today discussed about the dredging of
Modhumoti and Nabaganga rivers at a meeting.

  The meeting was held Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, said an official press release.

   With chairman of the committee Ramesh Chandra Sen in the chair, it
was attended by committee members State Minister for Water Resources
Zahid Faruk, Deputy Minister AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, Nurunnabi
Chowdhury and A.M Naimur Rahman.

  The meeting also had discussion on River Recharges Institute`s
activities and River Recharges Institute`s project and Teesta Barrage
Command Area.

  Senior water resources secretary, additional water resources
secretary, director of River Recharges Institute, additional director
general of Bangladesh Water Development Board and officials of Jatiya
Sangsad secretariat, among other, joined the meeting.
