DHAKA, Feb 9, 2022 (BSS) – The Standing Committee on Public Accounts today recommended taking necessary action about the audit objections of the Roads and Highways (R&H) Division for fiscal year 2016-2017.  

The committee came up with the recommendation in its 63rd meeting held today at the Cabinet Room of the Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad with its chairman M Rustam Ali Faraji in the chair, said a press release.  
 
The meeting discussed the decisions taken in the committee’s 61st and 62nd meeting.

Committee members Abul Kalam Azad, M Abdus Shahid, M Shahiduzzaman Sarkar, Zahirul Haque Bhuiyan Mohan, Manzur Hossain, Ahsanul Islam (Titu), Mustafa Lutfullah and Begum Wasika Ayesha Khan attended the meeting.
 
The audit reports for the financial year 2014-2015 to 2015-2016 and section one to nine of audit objections of 2016-2017 of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges were discussed in the meeting.

The Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division and senior officials of Roads and Highways Division, the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General and parliament secretariat were present.
