DSCC illuminates Mouchak-Malibagh flyover

  DHAKA, Feb 2, 2022 (BSS) - Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has

illuminated 3.345 kilometers of the Malibagh-Mouchak flyover, which is
under the jurisdiction of the DSCC, by installing smart LED lights
with its own funding.

  DSCC Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh inaugurated the illumination by
switching the lights on at the flyover's Holy Family Hospital end in
the city this evening, said a DSCC press release.

  Speaking on the occasion, Taposh said the flyover has been
illuminated at cost of Taka 4.52 crore.

   Noting that the smart lights could be monitored from the Nagar
Bhaban's control room, he said, "If any light is damaged, we could see
it immediately staying at Nagar Bhaban and repair it".

  The lights will automatically switch on and off by adjusting with
the sunrises and sunsets, Taposh said, adding such lights will be
installed in the 18 newly added wards to the DSCC and from now all the
damaged lights will be replaced with such lights.

  DSCC Chief Executive Officer Farid Ahmad, Chief Engineer Saleh Ahmad
and Secretary Akramuzzaman were present at the function, among others.
