DHAKA, Feb 2, 2022 (BSS) - The Parliamentary Standing Committee of the 11th parliament on Power, Energy and Mineral Resources today recommended finalizing of electric-run vehicle charging guideline soon.

The committee in its 24th meeting discussed elaborately about the plan of power division on electric run transport and public transport transforming into electric run.

It also discussed about the implementation of all under construction power plants running with coal, liquid energy and natural gas.

Chaired by its chief Wasika Aeysha Khan, the meeting was attended among others by State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid, Md Abu Jahir, Md Nurul Islam Talukder, Md Aslam Hossain Saudagar, Mst Khaleda Khanam and Nargis Rahman.  

Secretaries concerned, Chairman of Bangladesh Power Development Board, Chairman of Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (REB), Chairman of Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority and officials of the Parliament Secretariat were also present.
