DHAKA, Feb 2, 2022 (BSS) – Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today expressed

profound shock and sorrow at the death of former lawmaker, valiant freedom fighter and language veteran Abul Hashem.

In a condolence message, the minister, also general secretary of the ruling Awami League (AL), prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and  conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

The ex-lawmaker Hashem, who was an elected member in the 1970 National Assembly Elections

from the then East Pakistan, breathed his last at 7:30 am on Wednesday at a city hospital at the age

of 93.

He left behind his wife, colleagues and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
