DHAKA, Dec 19, 2022 (BSS) - A court here today dismissed bail plea of 38 leaders and activists of BNP including Shahiduddin Chowdhury Annie and Abdus Salam in a case lodged over plotting to attack policemen and inciting violence against them.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain passed the order as defence pleaded to grant the accused bail in the case. The prosecution, however, argued for dismissing the bail plea.

One person was killed and several others including policemen were injured in a clash in front of BNP central office in Nayapaltan on December 7.

Police filed the case with Paltan Police Station against 473 and 1,500-2,000 unnamed people over the incident.
