61,694 more children get Covid-19 jabs in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Nov 18, 2022 (BSS) - More 61,694 children aged 5-11 years were
vaccinated with the first doses of Covid-19 jabs in Rangpur division on
Thursday.
 
"A total of 5,913 children aged 5-11 years were also administered with the
second doses of Covid-19 jabs on Thursday," Acting Divisional Director
(Health) Dr Md Habibur Rahman said today.
 
So far, a total of 16,99,696 students aged 5-11 years of 4759 primary level
educational institutions have been administered with the first doses, and
among them, 34,048 with the second doses of Covid-19 jabs in the division.
 
Meanwhile, the number of administered Covid-19 jabs rose to three crore 46
lakh 38 thousand and 695 with the inoculation of a total of 71,678 doses of
the jabs as the first, second and booster doses on Thursday.
 
"Till Thursday, a total of 1,53,78,052 people got the first doses of Covid-19
jabs, and of them, 1,32,96,750 got the second doses and 59,63,893 as the
booster doses," Dr. Rahman said.
 
The number of Covid-19 patients remained steady at 64,948 as no fresh Covid-
19 cases were diagnosed after testing 16 new samples on Thursday in the
division.
 
The number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,621 as no
more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today.

"Besides, the number of casualties also remained steady at 1,293 as no new
death was reported from the division during the last 24 hours," Dr. Rahman
added.
