RANGPUR, Sept 23, 2022 (BSS) - Three more fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed
after testing 30 samples at the 10 percent positivity rate in Rangpur
division on Thursday.

Health officials said the number of diagnosed fresh Covid-19 cases is showing
a rising trend again in recent days in the division.

"With the diagnosis of the three fresh cases, the number of Covid-19 patients
rose to 64,839 in the division," Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Abu Md.
Zakirul Islam told BSS today.

The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,232 as
no more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today.

The number of casualties also remained steady at 1,289 as no new death was
reported during the period.   

Meanwhile, more 9,535 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Thursday
raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore 12 lakh 51 thousand
and 977 doses in the division.

"Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,36,55,073 doses were
inoculated as the first doses, 1,30,51,462 as the second doses and 45,45,442
as the booster doses," Dr. Islam said.
