CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Sept 19, 2022 (BSS) - Sharodyo Durgotsava, the greatest
festival of the Hindu community, will be held in 145 Mandops in the district.

It was disclosed in a meeting held on Sunday afternoon at the conference room
of the deputy commissioner of Chapainawabganj.

The district administration convened the meeting to take preparations for
holding Durga Puja peacefully. DC of Chapainawabganj AKM Galiv Khan presided
over the meeting.

Among others, superintendent of police AHM Abdur Rokib, civil surgeon Doctor
SM Mahmudur Rashid and Hindu community leaders spoke on the occasion.

 Of the total, 60 Mandops will be erected in sadar upazila, 41 mandops in
Shibganj upazila, 29 in Gomostapur upazila, 12 in Nachole upazila and three
mandops in Bholahat upazila.

The Deputy Commissioner said all kinds of administrative steps will be taken
to organise Durga Puja in a festive atmosphere. The district administration
and the law enforcement forces will carry out joint duties for this purpose.
