Two Dakhil examinees killed in Tangail road accident

TANGAIL, Sept 17, 2022(BSS) - Two candidates of Dakhil examinees were killed and another was injured in a road accident in Egarkahnia village in Ghatail upazila of the district last night.

The deceased were identified as Naeem Khan, 17, son of Fazlur Rahman Khan and Shakil Khan, 15, son of Abdus Sattar Khan, both residents of Egarkahnia village of the upazila.

Both of them were participated in Dakhil exam this year from Mulbari Darus Sunnah Dakhil Madrasah.

The accident occurred when the three friends were going to the local Chankhola market on a motorcycle at night and collision with a battery-powered auto van coming from opposite direction in the area, leaving the trio seriously injured, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ghatail Police Station Azharul Islam said.

Later, the injured were first admitted to Ghatail Upazila Health Complex but later shifted to other hospitals as their condition deteriorated.

However, Shakil succumbed to his injuries around 1am on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital and Naeem on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the OC added.
