RpMP celebrates fourth founding anniversary

RANGPUR, Sept 16, 2022 (BSS) - Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) celebrated 
its fourth founding anniversary today after attaining laudable success in 
ensuring peace and security on the path of progress with confidence since its 
inception four years ago.

RpMP chalked out colorful programmes, including service weeks since September 
10 last followed by a rally, placing of wreaths at the mural of Father of the 
Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, discussion and ceremonial dinner 
today.

Originating from the RpMP office premises, the huge rally paraded the streets 
up to the mural of Bangabandhu on the Bangabandhu Square and returned again 
to the RpMP office in the city.
 
Deputy Inspector General for Rangpur Range Police and first Commissioner of 
Police of RpMP Mohd Abdul Alim Mahmud participated in the rally as the chief 
guest.

Commissioner of Police of RpMP Nure Alam Mina, all Deputy Commissioners of 
Police, District Superintendent of Police Md. Ferdous Ali Chowdhury, senior 
officers of all ranks of RpMP, Officers-in-Charge of all six police stations 
and leaders of Rangpur Metropolitan Community Policing Committee participated 
in the rally.

DIG Mohd Abdul Alim Mahmud with RpMP Commissioner Nure Alam Mina and high 
police officials formally inaugurated celebrations of the fourth founding 
anniversary of RpMP by releasing balloons with a festoon on the Bangabandhu's 
mural premises.

After the rally, Abdul Alim Mahmud expressed his confidence that RpMP will 
work with utmost dedication, professionalism and patriotic zeal in building a 
prosperous Bangladesh to fulfill the goals and objectives of Prime Minister 
Sheikh Hasina. 

"RpMP will be at the forefront of building a safer city and providing legal 
services to citizens," Alim said, and congratulated all officers and members 
of RpMP and residents of the city on the fourth founding anniversary of the 
organization. 

RpMP Chief Nure Alam Mina said, "Our monogram bears inscriptions of 
discipline, confidence and progress." Without discipline there is no progress 
in life and trust is a huge factor. Our principle is to earn the trust of 
citizens."
 
 On the occasion of the foundation anniversary, the RPMP chief organized a 
dinner party for invited guests, high ranking officials, freedom fighters, 
professionals, civil society members and local elite at Six Seasons 
Convention Center in the city at night.
