CHATTOGRAM, Sept 11, 2022 (BSS) - Three guns with two scopes were found in
container goods from abroad.

The guns were found during the inventory at South Container Yard (Auction
Yard) in Guptakhal area of Chattogram Port on Sunday, customs officials
sources said.

The sources said it is believed that these are air guns used for hunting
birds. An unprofessional expatriate or foreign citizen brought these guns to
the port under baggage. Due to complications in redemption or some other
reason, it was lying in port for a few years.

A customs official told journalists on condition of anonymity that three guns
were found during the inventory of the container containing the auction-able
goods.

These are being examined, in whose name the goods came, who sent the goods,
when the goods arrived at the port. An official of the port said that all the
containers of import, export and auction are in the custody of the security
department of the port, but the process of giving the weapons found in the
inventory to the police is going on.
