MUNSHIGANJ, Sept 10, 2022 (BSS)- Lightning strike killed three children of a family and injured another one as they were collecting water lily in a 'beel' at Tongibari upazila in the district today.

The deceased are as Rabiul Hasan, 16, Lamim Hossain, 12 and Sanjida Akhter, 9.

Around 2.30pm, four children went to collect water lilies in the beel in Dhamaron union. The children got injured by lightning strike. They were rushed to Munshiganj Sadar Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared three of the injured dead. Surviving child is receiving treatment there.
