RANGPUR, Sept 6, 2022 (BSS) - Three fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed after
testing 65 new samples at the 4.62 percent positivity rate in Rangpur
division yesterday.
 
Health officials said the Covid-19 pandemic situation is showing an improving
trend in recent weeks across the division.
 
"With the diagnosis of the three fresh cases, the total number of Covid-19
patients rose to 64,893 in the division," Divisional Director (Health) Dr Abu
Md Zakirul Islam said today.
 
The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,106 as
no more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today.
 
The number of casualties also remained steady at 1,289 as no new death was
reported during the period.   

Meanwhile, more 17,699 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered yesterday
raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore 10 lakh 83 thousand
and 814 doses in the division.
 
"Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,36,29,926 doses were
inoculated as the first doses, 1,30,29,244 as the second doses and 44,24,644
as the booster doses," Dr Islam added.
