CUMILLA, Sept 5, 2022 (BSS) - Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) in a drive, here today realized Taka 25,000 as fine from the owners of three business establishments for various irregularities at Kabiraj Bazar of Sadar upazila and Fakir Bazar area of Burichong upazila in the district.
 
The team led by assistant director of DNCRP in Cumilla Asadul Islam conducted the drive at M/S One to Ninety-nine Shop, fined Taka 5,000 for weight less of goods, M/S Molla Store, fined Taka 15,000 for selling soybean oil at higher price and M/S Abul Hossain Store fined Taka 5,000, for not hanging the price list.
 
The business establishments were fined for various irregularities and in violation of the Consumer Rights Protection Act-2009.
 
Members of the law enforcement agencies assisted the operation team.
 
As the part of authorities of DNCPR drive would continue in the district, assistant director of DNCRP Asadul Islam added.
