CHATTOGRAM, July 20, 2022 (BSS) - A Chattogram court on Wednesday awarded a

man to life term rigorous imprisonment today for raping a school girl at Azam
Nagar village under Zorargonj upazila of the district.

The judge Ferdouse Ara of the Women and Children Repression Prevention
Tribunal- 7 delivered the judgment convicting CNG three wheeler driver
Ekramul Hoq, son of late Chadekur Rahman, hailed from Azam Nagar village of
Hinguli union of Zorargonj thana of the district.

The court also fined him Taka three lakh for the same crime in default he
will be suffered more one year imprisonment.

The prosecution story in brief is that Ekramul Hoq raped the ten years old
school girl taking forcibly beside his residence on August 5 in 2019.

Victim's mother filed a case with Zorargonj Police Station on August 7 in
2019.

The court on Wednesday after examining eight out of 11 prosecution witnesses
awarded the judgement convicting Ekramul Hoq in presence of him.
