CHAPAINAWABGANJ, May 20, 2022 (BSS) - Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 71 bottles of contraband Indian phensidyle from Shibganj in the district last night.

 The arrested person is Md. Shariful Islam, 30, of Ajmatpur Hudmapara village under Shibganj upazila.

 BGB said, acting on a tip-off, a patrol team of BGB from Ajmatpur border out post conducted a raid in a mango orchard at Ajmatpur Hudmapara village in Shibganj upazila of the district around 8 pm and arrested Shariful with the phensidyle.
 
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Shibganj thana with a case.
